Turnkey Building

We believe the key to success is early engagement whereby Strand are involved to maximise the productivity and value of your project from the start.

Working together we can guide you and the design team through the whole process from conception to sales with everything in-between.

Working either from outline or reserved matters we can offer turnkey services picking up the build utilising our own groundworks division and engineers along with trusted tradespeople and designers taking all the pressure away from you the client.

This route offers a one-stop shop for construction services quite literally handing you the keys when the job is finished.

Groundworks

Strand Development has its own in-house groundworks division working for a range of clients from national housebuilders to local developers throughout East Anglia.

Spotted as a high-risk element within housebuilding we thought it best to keep tight control over this trade by starting the division.

Having this service in-house also benefits our clients taking advantage of turnkey packages saving money and offering a far greater level of control.

Site Investigation / Enabling works

Working for housebuilders often requires attendance such as pre-commencement work whether it be assisting with site investigations – compound/haul road installations – fencing – forming new highway entrances – site clearances as well as technical services such as CBR tests – BRE365 tests – Window Sampling – boreholes – Existing ground level surveys – live services tracking and plotting.

 Whatever the task we can take care of it.

Design & Sales

After listening to our clients we launched new services which include a full design and planning package which will assist when working to maximise GDV ensuring build budgets are taken into account at the initial design and application stage.

Strand work towards obtaining successful planning permissions with as few conditions as possible with the help of a fantastic professional team and thorough site investigation and design, offering the maximum amount of information possible at an early stage.

Strand’s technical design follows where we work with a closely selected team of designers to produce details building control/construction drawings. Taking into account our experience and site-tailored investigations we can assure you of the best value when it comes to material selection and construction methodology to suit your site.

Working with our partners we can use the detailed design information to produce 3D models which have huge advantages we have found when it comes to sales /attracting purchasers/ creating sales literature. From this level of design Strand now works with sales agents who we engage at an early stage to advise on the sales process and even guide design to maximise sales values in a given area.

Section 278 Highways Works / Offsite Works

With most of Strand Development’s projects, the proposed new site works will have to interface with the existing built environment locally. In addition to the works that we provide on-site, we also undertake all off-site works including;

  • Section 106 Sewer Connections
  • Highway alteration works
  • Section 278 Roadworks
  • Section 50 Works 

Strand Development is fully accredited to work on the public highway with an accordingly qualified workforce.
